Typically, sod begins to root within 7 to 14 days. During this time, it’s crucial to keep the area well-watered and avoid heavy foot traffic.
Sod can be installed year-round in Florida, but spring and early fall are ideal due to milder temperatures and consistent rainfall.
For the first two weeks, water your new sod 2–4 times per day to keep it consistently moist. After that, you can reduce watering to encourage deeper root growth.
